Baked fish with Ginger and Green Onions

Baked Fish with Ginger & Green Onions

This is a quick and easy to make recipe that everyone will love! The ginger and green onions make it really flavorful. Inspired from one of my favorite low-key Chinese Restaurants in Berkeley, Lily's, this is a healthy, lower oil version. Serve with steamed broccoli & cauliflower or other mixed vegetables. Brown rice cooked in chicken broth is a nice side dish.

Ingredients:

Tilapia, Halibut, or Sole filets (count ¾ pound per person)

3-4 stalks green onions finely chopped

1-2 Tbsp fresh peeled ginger grated or finely chopped

2 Tbsp organic, unrefined sesame oil

Juice of ½ lemon or lime (if not sensitive to citrus)

2 tsp wheat free tamari (if not sensitive to soy)

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Oil both sides of the fish filet
  • Cover with green onions and ginger
  • Sprinkle lemon juice and tamari over everything (optional)
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked all the way through

We loved that recipe. It seems one third of a pound of fish is plenty for us per person. We have to leave room for dessert !
