Delicious Detox Salad Dressing

Liver Cleansing Salad Dressing

This is a wonderful salad dressing to use every day if desired! Spring is the season to support the liver, so it's especially wonderful to include this into your Spring Detoxification ritual. If you use a little less water, it can also be a yummy dip for raw veggies. 

Cilantro is a natural heavy metal chelator so if you've been over-eating fish like tuna, it might be a great choice for you. Garlic provides sulphur needed for liver detox. Lemon stimulates bile release which is essential for cleansing. 

Blend the following:

 

·      Extra virgin olive oil (enough to cover the blades of the blender.

·      2 Tblsp. fresh lemon juice and  1/3 cup pure water.

·      1 bunch of chopped herbs. Parsley and Cilantro are great. Basil is nice also.

·      4-5 cloves garlic

·      peeled ginger root (optional, about 1Tblsp.)

·      1/3 cup seeds or nuts (pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds are nice. So are walnuts).

·      ½ tsp sea salt (optional).

·      1 tsp. agave nectar, or a few raisins or a little piece of banana for sweetness (optional).
